ABOUT ME
Since I was very young I loved art.  I was a day dreamer and always had a great imagination.  I believe even then I was seeing the world through these artist eyes.   I never imagined that my love would eventually become my profession, and I am so grateful that it happened that way.  While attending highschool I was quite involved in the art program.  I attended WMU in Kalamazoo, MI and Delta College in Saginaw, MI.  Now that my family is grown I have the time  to pursue my painting and have been doing so since 2003.  I do murals, theater/play sets and backdrops, original paintings, custom orders and  creative logo styling.  I am now a freelance artist, which gives me more time to work on my own art.  Because of the freedom of freelancing, my creative life today is much more interesting since the diversity of the work is so great.  I love to paint.  It is a passion that allows me to create and display my very own artistic style and talent.
I will be doing more painting on location this summer. I will insert photos from location of painting and add finished originals to the site upon completion.  Thank you for your visit.

Here you will find I have a series of photos showing you a step by step process of the painting procedure I used to create this mural.  I like to show everyone that painting can be fun and all you need to do is choose your colors and spread the paint.  If it is not going the way you like, just repaint the base coat color, let it cure and then start again.  The main thing is to have some freedom with your paint and by that you will be able to create some amazing art and it will be your own original work.
Here to the right is the finished mural.  It is a simple view looking through a stone edged window opening, overlooking a slab concrete porch, wooden rails, some lush flowering plants and in the far background is a hillside edged with trees.  I layered paint to give the wall the tuscan look which appears to have highs, lows and cracks in the wall.  On the stool is the glass pitcher filled with cone flowers and babies breath which I used as still life to create the flowers in the mural.
